Computer Lab Manager

Dianne Lowe_picThis is my twelfth year as the Computer Lab Manager at Timber Ridge, with a total of 20 years working in the Cobb County School District. I enjoy working in the Computer Lab, helping students learn to be proficient in their use of computers and other technology devices. Technology proficiency is especially important since teaching and learning resources increasingly depend on the use of these devices.

Our Kindergarten classes come to the Computer Lab once per week, and 1st – 5th grade classes come every other week. Often, 1st – 5th grade teachers will schedule extra time in the lab for their classes when they need more time to complete their projects. Students learn to use the Cobb Digital Library, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Graph Club, Kidspiration, KidPix, TimeLiner, IXL, Type to Learn, Google Earth, Photo Story, and others.

I’m thankful for the TR Foundation, because their interest, involvement, and financial support have been instrumental to the success of technology at Timber Ridge.
