Now, more than ever, our children will benefit from your Foundation’s ability to be flexible in how it spends its funds to adapt to a changing budget environment.

Your Foundation can provide resources and programs outside the mission of the PTA, and can fill voids in areas where tax dollars fall short.  In years past, your Foundation has provided SmartBoards and document cameras for every classroom, laptop and desktop computers, as well as teacher webpages and blogs. This year, difficult economic times have tremendously strained the Cobb County School’s budget. Your Foundation is stepping in to help mitigate the effects of budget cuts on the day-to-day learning environment of our children. Already this school year, your Foundation has countered the impact of system-wide supply budget reductions by providing a year’s supply of ink cartridges for our school’s printers, and by providing every teacher with a Lakeshore Learning gift card for use in purchasing needed classroom supplies.

Now, more than ever, we need your help to ensure that your Foundation can continue to provide every grade level, every classroom, and every Timber Ridge student with valuable new learning resources and instructional support.

In keeping with its mission, your Foundation will continue to cover 100% of the costs associated with Timber Ridge’s technology teacher. We also hope to provide High Touch-High Tech in-house educational science programs to every grade level as we did last year. We would like to fulfill each of your teachers’ curriculum grant requests, which in years past have included everything from new musical instruments to fractions math center supplies. We are also hoping to fund arts education programs for each grade level.

Now, more than ever, it will take the support of every Timber Ridge family to reach our goals, so please take a moment and consider at what level you will choose to make a difference.

Over 85% of your Foundation’s funding comes from parents like you. As we have for the past several years, this year we are asking for a donation of $110 per student in order to reach our goal of $52,000. If $110 per student is not possible for you, please know that any dollar amount is greatly appreciated. If you can give more, know that the Foundation has greatly benefited in past years from gifts of larger amounts.

Now, more than ever, your Foundation’s role in your child’s education is invaluable.

To support your Timber Ridge Foundation, you can now donate online or if you prefer, you can download and complete this form and send it back to school, or drop it by the office by Friday, October 15th. Remember that all donations are tax-deductible and that the Timber Ridge Foundation, as a 501(c)(3) organization, is eligible for many employer matching gift programs.
