On behalf of the Timber Ridge Foundation Board I would like to welcome everyone back to the 2013-2014 school year. Hopefully it has been a restful, but also fun filled summer for all!

The beginning of the school year is an especially busy time, and at Timber Ridge this is no exception. The first event of the year will be the Class Postings on Friday, August 2 at 4:00. We hope that after learning whose class your student will be in you will join the Foundation and PTA on the blacktop for ice cold popsicles and cool water. It will be a wonderful opportunity to visit with friends and neighbors you may have missed over the summer!

Monday, August 5^th the PTA will host Meet and Greet. New families are encourage to attend from 9:30 – 10:00, families with last names ending A-J from 10:00 – 11:00, and families with last names ending K-Z from 11:10 – 12:10. This is your opportunity to visit classrooms; sign up for the fabulous After School Activities coordinated by the Foundation, and visit the Foundation table outside the Café to learn more about the Foundation and what we do!

Open House will occur on two nights. Kindergarten thru 2^nd grade will meet on Wednesday, August 14^th from 6:30 – 8:00, and 3^rd – 5^th grades will have their Open House the following night, Thursday, August 15^th also from 6:30 – 8:00. Dr. Doe will kick off the event followed by brief introductions to the PTA and Foundation.

At the end of August the Foundation coordinated After School Activities will begin. This year we are excited to offer Challenge Island, Brainy Builders, Brainy Bots, Drama, Kid Chess, and Spanish! To learn more about these offerings, including the schedule and price, click here.

Over the summer our Community Sponsor team hit the streets to talk with local businesses about supporting all the science and technology initiatives at Timber Ridge. As the school year progresses the Foundation is excited about our upcoming Donation Drive, several Spirit Nights at local restaurants, including Chick-fil-A, and other annual events including Monster Mash and Art Show.

And remember, together we can do even more for our school, our teachers and our children.
